SeneGene MakeSense Advanced Anti-Aging Foundation Review

Update: I am no longer actively selling SeneGence, BUT I still swear by this foundation (as well as SeneGence’s Color Correcting Tinted Moisturizer). I continue to use it and have not found anything that works as well as it does yet. #reallifereview πŸ˜‰

LipSense is my makeup game changer, but there are a ton of other products from Senegence that I’ve been adding to my wish list.

The perfect foundation is something I’m always on the hunt for. So, when I saw multiple rave reviews for SeneGence’s Advanced Anti-Aging MakeSense Foundation, I had to give it a shot.

What makes SeneGence beauty products unique is their ability to last an extra-long time. Like LipSense, their other products are meant to last all day, too. This has always been an issue for me because I have oily skin (especially in my T zone). I’d come home for my lunch break only to see that I had to do some major touching up because my foundation was nowhere to be found on my chin and around my nose.

THE DETAILS: The foundation is formulated with SenePlex Complex+ and SeneShield, two of the most advanced anti-aging and skin protective products around. It includes ingredients that actually help to minimize damage previously caused by exposure to daily toxins. It is mineral free, oil free, and water-resistant so it doesn’t clog your pores like other foundations will.

THE REVIEW: I have used Advanced Anti-Aging MakeSense Foundation almost every day for over two weeks now. I have not seen improvements to my skin overall (as far as diminishing fine lines or tightening anything up), but I didn’t expect it to this quickly.

I used the foundation with products from other brands. I applied moisturizer, primer, MakeSense foundation, concealer, translucent powder, and setting spray. I used a damp Real Techniques beauty sponge to blend in the foundation. It has a medium to full coverage, but I added a little more because I like to cover up my acne scars.

The MakeSense foundation did not prevent my skin from getting oily, but I did notice a significant difference in how long the foundation stayed on my skin. It lasted all day (roughly 7a-8p) and it did not disappear on my chin or around my nose where it normally would have with other foundations I’ve used in the past.

I have been wearing Milani’s Perfect 3-in-1 foundation for the past few months. It has previously been the best foundation to fit my needs, but I can say that SeneGence’s Advanced Anti-Aging Foundation has replaced it. Not having to worry about reapplying my foundation throughout the day is such a relief!

Pinterest’s Best Makeup Dupes

Obsessing over that luxury brand eye shadow palette or trying to figure out if buying that high end primer is worth the cost? I get it. Sometimes we want the look our favorite beauty guru has accomplished, but for less. Pinterest has a ton of pins with dupes for the most desired makeup products. Here are a few that are worth noting.

society-19-splurge-vs-steal This dupe guide from Society 19 has a variety of different products all with drugstore dupes. I’ve tried the Urban Decay / Hard Candy eye shadow primer dupe and 100% back it up. The dupe is just as effective and for 1/4 of the cost.

Kylie’s Lip Kits are on my wish list, but until I check them off, these dupes will do. Make sure to take a peek at All in the Blush’s website for more dupes, and not just Kylie ones, there are great ones for Anastasia Beverly Hills and Jeffree Star as well.

Primers are tricky, especially when they react differently depending on your skin type. Don’t want to commit to a high end primer? These dupes from Drugstore Princess should help.

These foundation dupes are some of the best I’ve found on Pinterest. Cosigned by multiple Youtube beauty gurus, Beauty Tidbits hit the mark with these dupes for Kat Von D, MAC, and Giorgio Armani foundations.
